It started with two friends talking - the kind of conversations you have late at night when something feels off, but you can’t quite explain why.
We met years ago in college, both studying biomedical sciences. We spent our careers learning how the body works and how good it is at adapting. So when things started to feel different in our own bodies, we assumed we’d understand it pretty quickly.
But then came the sleepless nights. The fatigue that didn’t make sense. Mood changes that felt unfamiliar. We were still functioning, still busy, still capable, but not quite ourselves.
As scientists, we wanted clear answers. As women, we just wanted to feel well again.
What we found instead was overwhelming. Endless supplements. Conflicting advice. Products that focused on “fixing” one symptom at a time, without explaining what was actually going on, or how it all fit together. It felt confusing, noisy, and unnecessarily complicated. And it felt like society didn't prepare us for this midlife journey.
So after many conversations, and a lot of frustration, we started asking a different question:
What if this phase of life could feel simple, radiant, strong, and deeply empowering?
A story shaped by resilience, science, and service
Why this matters
Herlixir is shaped by decades-long friendships, respect for science, and a shared belief that women deserve better support through midlife. We build with clarity, care, and integrity — creating products and guidance designed for real life.

Uyen Nguyen
Founder & CEO
Biologist | MS, MBAUyen is the founder and CEO of Herlixir, with a career that bridges science, investing, and entrepreneurship. She began her professional life as a biologist, drawn to understanding how the human body adapts to change. That scientific training continues to shape her systems-level thinking and commitment to evidence.
After coming to the United States as a refugee at a young age, Uyen learned early the value of resilience, reinvention, and community. Over time, her career expanded beyond the lab into investing and building businesses, including owning and operating a restaurant and a bar. This experience deepened her understanding of formulation, sourcing, operations, and the role of ritual and daily habits in people’s lives.
When Uyen began navigating the early shifts of midlife herself, she encountered the same confusion many women face — fragmented advice, overwhelming options, and little help understanding what was actually happening inside the body. She founded Herlixir to bridge that gap, bringing together her background in biology, her experience as an operator, and her belief that wellness should feel steady, accessible, and grounded in real life.

Tram Dinh
Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer
Nurse Practitioner, BSN, MSN, CDETram is a certified nurse practitioner and co-founder of Herlixir, with more than two decades of experience supporting patients in managing chronic conditions through nutrition, education, and practical lifestyle guidance. She met Uyen while studying biology in college, forming a bond rooted in curiosity, generosity, and mutual respect.
After coming to the U.S. as a refugee, Tram pursued nursing as a way to care for others with steadiness and compassion. Her clinical work focuses on diabetes care, where she helps patients understand how daily choices — particularly around nutrition — shape long-term health. Through this work, she has seen how metabolic, hormonal, and lifestyle factors intersect in ways that are often difficult for people to navigate without clear guidance.
While menopause has not been her primary clinical specialty, Tram has observed its impact through patients, colleagues, friends, family, and her broader community, as well as through her own life experiences. These observations revealed a clear gap in coordinated, practical support for women during midlife. At Herlixir, Tram leads product development with a focus on safety, usability, and real-life integration, ensuring every formulation reflects both clinical judgment and lived experience.

William H. Robinson, MD, PhD
Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Advisor
Internal Medicine & RheumatologyBill is a physician-scientist and co-founder of Herlixir, serving as the company’s Chief Scientific Advisor. He met Uyen more than twenty years ago at a rock climbing gym, beginning a friendship grounded in intellectual curiosity, resilience, and shared values.
Throughout his career in internal medicine and rheumatology, Bill has cared for patients with complex immune and inflammatory conditions — many of which disproportionately affect women. His work has given him a firsthand view of how women’s health concerns are often misunderstood or under-researched, particularly during midlife.
At Herlixir, Bill guides scientific integrity across education and product development. He reviews research, ingredient rationale, and physiological explanations to ensure accuracy, clarity, and responsibility. His role is to support thoughtful decision-making — helping ensure that the science behind Herlixir empowers women with knowledge, without oversimplification or hype.
